Started about 50 years ago by Haji Ghaffur and now run by Haji Mohammed Faisal. The owner remarked, “hamari dukaan par aaj bhi 1 rupye mein mithai milti hai is mehngai ke zamane me, sab barkat hai Allah ki”. It is claimed to be one of the best sweet shop with most reasonable price. A kid and a beggar is never returned back without having sweet from Haji Saheb shop; this is being a special gesture of his kindness to human beings. Special care is taken to maintain the quality and the taste, which is being promised to the customers since decades. There is always a long queue at his shop for the sweets like khoye ke laddu, besan ke laddu, doodh barfi, milk cake, qalaqand, balushahi, boondi, peda, namakpara, andarse ki goli, suhaal, pakaudi, etc. Around 25 different types of sweets and namkeens are made everyday. During the holy month of Ramzan, the most selling items are lachche, pakaudi, suhaal, laddu, etc. Special sweets are also being prepared on orders for marriages and special occasions. The shop is a landmark in the locality of Nakhas which is now synonymous for a sweet taste and pleasant hospitality – Tehzeeb-e Lucknow !
